Michael Garko, Ph.D. 
Host Of Let’s Talk Nutrition and Director of Communications for Natural Health & Nutrition  

Dr. Michael Garko was awarded his Ph.D. in Communication from Florida State University in 1988. He received his Master’s Degree in Communication from the University of South Florida in 1983. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of South Florida in 1972 and 1973, respectively.  

Dr. Garko’s experience and background as a researcher and consultant is extensive. After working as an organizational communication consultant for 15 years, he began his career as trial and jury consultant. Dr. Garko is the founder and president of Trial Strategies, Inc., a Tampa based full-service trial and jury consulting firm offering litigation and presentation services. Dr. Garko also has 25 years of experience teaching communication at the university and college level. His primary area of research is social influence and persuasion.  

As a professor, Dr. Garko’s honors and awards are widespread, including Scholar of the Year from the Florida Communication Association, Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award from USF and Outstanding Professor Award from the Department of Communication at USF. More importantly, over the past 30 years Dr. Garko has taken his skills as a researcher and applied them to his personal devotion to the study of scientific advances in anti-aging and life-extension. He has studied the use of nutrition, supplementation, physical conditioning, life-style strategies and traditional and alternative medicine to fight against disease in order to maintain, improve and restore physical and psychological health.  

Dr. Garko is an expert in the areas of health maintenance and disease prevention. In an effort to continue learning about health and nutrition, Dr. Garko is also currently working on his Doctorate in Naturopathy.
